Brigade Sergeant Major
The Brigade Sergeant Major (SGM3BDE) is the senior Non-Commissioned Officer of the 3rd Brigade, and acts to advocate the professional development and activity of the Brigade, and acts to advocate the professional development and activity of the Brigade’s mom-Officer personnel. The Sergeant Major will keep records of the promotion Requirements for all units, and exist to assist enlisted and NCO members in achieving the goals set fourth by their officers necessary to advance. The SGM is also responsible for being an example of the spirit and professionalism of the SFMC and the NCO Corps in specific, through dedication, appearance in uniform and proper bearing at official events. The Brigade Sergeant Major is the highest ranging non-Commissioned member of the Brigade.
Recommended Courses: PD10, PD20, LD10, NCO10, NCO20, NCO30 and one MOS Specialty Group to at least 20 level
Brigade S-1 Administrative Officer (Adjutant)
The Brigade S-1, Also known as the adjutant, maintains the records for the Brigade. The database of information on every Marine in the BDE rests with the S-1, and the bi-monthly report to COTRACOM and COFORCECOM fact checked by the S-1 prior to dispatch to the Brigade Executive Officer and Brigade Commanding Officer. The S-1 coordinates the newsletter and website, and ensures that both of theses are up to date and published in a timely manner.

Brigade S-2 Intelligence Officer
The Intelligence Officer collects information on activities that would be of interest to the Marines of the Brigade, such as conventions, parades, tournaments and the like that are executed by other entitities (Not-SFI affiliated) and sees that information is passed on to the web site, newsletter, calendar, 3rd Brigade Forum, and Bi-Monthly reports. The S-2 is responsible for a monthly update of the calendar and website, as well as the standard report expected of all Staff Members. All Brigade Staff positions are required to report monthly to the S-1 and Brigade Command Staff.

Brigade S-3 Operations Officer
The Operations Officer is responsible for planning Brigade Activities and Coordinating the Units and Battalions of the Brigade to combine efforts in the same. Lazer Tag, Inter unit competitions, paint ball, camping, river trips, gaming events, and other activities involving the Brigade- All of these are the type of activities the S-3 is expected to organize and promote. Information on all of these activities should be passed on through the same channels as the S-2’s information, and with the same frequency. All Brigade Staff positions are required to report monthly to the S-1 and Brigade Command Staff.

Brigade S-4 Logistics Officer
The Logistics Officer is responsible for Brigade Merchandise, and also for assisting Marines of the Brigade in finding Uniform items. An up-to-date list of the articles necessary for the Brigade’s approved uniforms should be kept, with the S-4, so that Marines contacting this officer will be able to be directed to the most efficient and least expensive source for those items. The S-4 will also report to the newsletter as all other Staff Officers. All Brigade Staff positions are required to report monthly to the S-1 and Brigade Command Staff.

Battalion Sergeant Major
The Battalion Sergeant Major assists the Brigade Sergeant Major and is responsible for the same items as the Brigade SGM at the Battalion SGM is also the point of contact for all Unit First Sergeants for questions regarding NCO matters. The Battalion Sergeant Major is the highest ranking non-officer Members of a given Battalion. The Battalion Sergeant Major reports to the Battalion Commander and Battalion Deputy Commander of there respective Battalion.
