| I am very interested in helping our clubs regain that feeling of exitement and fun that we get through interaction and perhaps even some interclub competitions. What ever we do come up with, it will need the capablity to be applied over a wide geographic area; being in El Paso, this is very painfully evedent for us. We just can't run out to Austin, Dallas, etc on a monthly basis - and though it'd ne nice to have visiter here now and then, we understand that the financial concern is the same for the rest of Region 3.
Here, part of our weekly get togethers is gaming, be it Risk, chess, cards or whatever we can come up with. Does anyone have an idea of how we can incorporate a yearly competion based around games? Maybe we could do it in a sort of expanded "League" type process: each area keeps track of its members' wins, and then each chapter can, at Summits and such, have its best represent that chapter in a Region-wide tournament.
Paintball is so much fun, but it does have a price tag. Perhaps it can be out there for those that can afford it. Maybe even we could join this into the "Wilderness Training" that has been spoken of of late.
Ideas, thoughts? |
