Proper filing of FORCECOM Report, Form# 00113
Tue Jan 15, 2008 2:36 pm by mor'taH tSepeS
I have found that there is some discrepancy in how the bi-monthly report is filed and filled in; this posting is a block of instruction on the proper way to input information on this form in order to unify all our units in their reporting procedures.

It may seem like a small point, but when you have 20 units, and everyone filling them out differently, it makes it very difficult to compile the form that your Battalion staff has to send up to Brigade, and so on.

If there are any questions on how to fill out FORCECOM Report, Form# 00113, please ask them now.

First: In your subject line on the email you send, put it in this format, and this format ONLY:

unit number, MUR, Months reporting for.

Example:
123MUR, DEC/JAN.

Additionaly, you MUST send it to: msgreports@region3.org , or it will not get to the proper offices; as I am the one that forms this report, it is sort of important that I get it. I am on the list, so send it to the above addy and it will get to me (or whoever it should, if/when I step down or up). Do not rely on someone in your unit/CoC that may be at BG/BN level to get it to me - that is your job.

Too many put in the month they are making the report in, and that doesn't work; first of all, you can't report for a month that you haven't gone through yet. Second, it really makes it difficult to reference that proper filing if you have the month info incorrect. We archive these for future reference as needed, so please, do it right, or it WILL get kicked back for you to correct. If it's not recieved in time, your unit will be marked DNR - Did Not Report. Get enough of these, and you stand the risk of being deactivated for cause.

Awards Requested:
NAME ... RANK ... SCC# ... AWARD REQUESTED ... ISSUING AUTHORITY

When putting someone in for an award, you will need to be specific about what the member did to qualify for the award. Do not just put the minimum requirements as listed in the MFM; be exact:

Han Solo, SGT, SCC# 99999, Commandant's Campain, SFMC Commandant:

During the month of DEC 2007, SGT Solo attended several events that were established to give toys to children that otherwise would not receive one. His attendance at these events was in the capacity of volunteer, helping the organizations to distribute the toys to the children.

SGT Solo's actions reflect great credit upon himself, his unit (please put your unit number here) and the SFMC.

(Now, that is what an award request should look like! Be specific, dynamic and to the point. When your members receive something like this, it will make them feel very good about themselves and go a long way towards esprit de corps)

CO's e-signature: Joe Snuffy, CPT
Reporting Officer's e-signature (if different than CO): Bill M. Later, 1LT

FORCECOM Report, Form# 00113

And that's it...the correct way to fully fill out the bi-monthly report. Any questions? Arrow
